Siobhan is a yoga instructor for children, teens and adults with ten years' experience in childcare and coaching. After practising yoga for 5 years, she realised there was a need for yoga to be taught to children, and strongly believes that by teaching mindfulness and yoga in schools, we are providing children with the tools to successfully face the challenges of everyday life.
Siobhan is truly passionate about the benefits of yoga and mindfulness within schools and within he family unit. She hopes to pass on all that she has learned to ensure a brighter and more compassionate future for all.
Siobhan is passionate about bringing yoga into schools and decided to further her studies. She studied in India, where she received classical training through Ganga Devi of the Himalayan Yoga Institute. In South Africa she was fortunate enough to be a part of Yoga Stars International, a social enterprise which sends teachers into schools and previously disadvantaged communities not exposed to yoga. She held classes for 250 children a week aged 8 months to 12 years.
She completed her teacher training for children and children with special needs through Yoga4Kids. She went on to complete a Yoga Teacher training for Teens with Charlotta Martinus of Teen Yoga. On her return to London in 2015 she created Calmer Kids Yoga, a company which provides inner city schools in South London with yoga classes, and was fortunate enough to work for children's yoga teacher Emma Charvet at a few of her schools in North London. Their similar approach, skills, passion and teaching styles led to the creation of Children's Yoga Tree.
