Jemima believes in yoga as a way of life that allows for total transformation. She journeys to India each year to deepen her practice, exploring the healing powers of asana, pranayama and meditation.
She has been practising yoga since her teens and qualified as a teacher in India at Ashiyana’s Yoga Centre, completing her most recent teacher training with Simon Borg Olivier. As well as being self-taught, she has studied with teachers from diverse backgrounds such as Mark Whitwell, Shiva Rea, Alaric Newcombe, Mimi Kuo Deemer and Emil Wendel.
Her teaching is constantly evolving as she travels new pathways through which to explore the physical and emotional body. She cultivates an embodied recognition that the body, mind and spirit are connected, weaving in Yoga philosophy and myths. Physically, hers is a dynamic and inventive practice with a strong focus on alignment that aims to enhance the prana (energy) through all the channels of the body, leading you through the fundamentals of an effective Hatha Yoga practice and some more unfamiliar pathways that cultivate strength and stability.
