Spring Awakening Workshop with Sasha Gabbe
Join Sasha Gabbe for a special extended yoga practice, bringing together Yin and Restorative yoga postures to help activate the energy channels of the liver and gallbladder and awaken you to the power of Spring.
Yin yoga and Restorative yoga are both floor-based practices and non-dynamic. Yin is when we slowly 'stress' the deep fascia of the body with long held postures, which can help to release tension and work the energetic pathways, promoting both physical and emotional healing. Restorative yoga is when the body is fully supported by props and encourages deep relaxation and rest.
In Yin yoga we learn to yield, like the willow tree and in Restorative yoga we allow the body to deeply rest so that we can stand strong. Without rest we are often more reactive. When we are well rested, we can learn to be more responsive and grounded.
