Inversion Immersion Workshop Weekend with Jean Hall
Turning upside down is an invitation to playfully find courage, strength and a new perspective. In yoga philosophy it is symbolic of uprooting old habits of being whilst grounding the mind. By learning how to safely invert (putting our heart above our head) we discover a wonderful way to awaken awareness, elevate mood, enhance spinal mobility and core stability and reduce the effects of gravity whilst building confidence and trust in ourselves.
Workshop day 1 (6.30 am - 9.00pm) - In this first session we will safely prepare the body to explore basic inversions such as head stand, hand stand and shoulder stand. Working from the ground up we will learn the fundamental alignment points for inversions through a thorough practice and study of foundational asanas like downward facing dog, plank, chaturanga and the dynamic interlinked movements of a yoga vinyasa flow.
Workshop day 2 (10.30am - 1.00pm) - In this workshop we’ll further develop and utilize the key alignment principles and core awareness in the body gained from the previous day to learn forearm balances and free standing handstands to enjoy the art and power of being upside down. Partner work will be included… Come prepared to be challenged!
£55 for both workshop days (Friday and Saturday)
£30 for 1 day (Friday or Saturday - you decide!)
