ANDY GILL

Andy has taught Ashtanga for over 12 years, in a playful and explorative way, maintaining a deep respect and understanding of its tradition. 

A love affair that began in 1991, Andy has honed his craft since then. After an apprenticeship with Gingi Lee he continued in-depth training with John and Lucy Scott in Mysore, and has taught workshops and retreats in the UK, Europe, India and Nepal.

His class is designed to create stability, strength and structure by enhancing flexibility and mobility in a natural way. 

Expect a welcoming, informed, undogmatic and supportive atmosphere in a relaxed yet dynamic class.

Ashtanga 90 minute class (Not for complete Yoga beginners)

Ashtanga is a strong and dynamic sequence-led practice which works on both strength and flexibility in your body.

In this 90 minute class, Andy will use the Ashtanga framework of Yoga postures to explore the principles of creating a strong, safe and sustainable Yoga practice. This class is not suitable for complete beginners,

Andy will progressively share the postures of the Ashtanga series in a way that builds understanding, sharing his in depth of knowledge and experience in accessible ways. Whatever your level of experience you will learn new things about movement practice in this class that will serve you well whatever Yoga you choose .

Whatever your level of practice, Andy will provide options to ensure that there is suitable range of challenge for every student.

60 minute class (more suitable for Yoga Beginners)

Ashtanga is a strong and dynamic sequence-led practice which works on both strength and flexibility in your body.

This class, which is suitable for all levels including beginners will cover the key foundational elements of Ashtanga Yoga providing different levels of challenge to suit a wide range of Yoga practitioner from beginner to more experienced.

This class will offer a progressive and more relaxed Yoga flow, with a focus on breath and movement whilst still offering opportunities to better learn to understand how to move in a way that cultivates strength, stability and greater mobility – You will learn new things in this class whatever your level of practice!
